The Dutch Hemophilia Society (NVHP)

The Dutch Hemophilia Society (Nederlandse Vereniging van Hemofilie-Patiënten; NVHP), which was founded in 1971, is an association for people with hemophilia and related hereditary disorders that belong to the spectrum of congenital coagulation disorders. This concerns among others von Willebrand disease, Glanzmann’s disease, Factor VII deficiency and rare deficiencies like factor I, II, IV, V, X, XI, XII and XIII.

 

In the Netherlands there are about 1600 people with hemophilia, more than 1250 of them are members of the NVHP. In addition, the NVHP has more than 300 members who have one of the other blood clotting disorders mentioned above.
